8) any engine responds to turbocharging quite well. i recomend building an engine with lots of low end and mid range torque, size the turbo to start building boost around 1500rpm, and use a wastegate(draw through) or pop off valve(blow through) to control boost. you can run more boost on 7 main engine than you can on a 4 main engine, but either way for the street i would limit boost pressure to 10 psi.

The crossflow setup IMHO would be the better to turbo. In fact I would get a EFI crossflow and turbo it. You couyld even go on ebay and get a Mustang SVO or Tbird turbo Coupe intercooler and adapt it to that setup. similar setup on a 2.3L Mustang running forged 8.0:1CR pistons can run up to 18lbs boost, up to 23 lbs if you go to larger injectors and get the MAF and TB recalibrated to the bigger injectors.

i may be biased

but personly i reckon the ohc motor would be a better option again.

a fully rebuilt ne would cost you about 3 grand and will take 15 psi in dead stock form.

i have just finished doing one for a mate that is stock internaly and cranks 400rwhp and does a 12.9 sec pass on the quater with the help of a t04 e trim turbo and a set of 550cc injectors and a 044 pump with a 600x300x90mm cooler running a piggy back ecu on it.

if transplanting a ohc motor is all to hard well i'd suggest a efi250 x flo with a t04 s trim on the side running thru a c4 and a b/w diff with 3.23 ratio rear.

and g/spack if you are ever headding down to the bwcp or are keen to join a ford club in se qld go to http://fastfords.org and have a squiz- we'd love to see you out and about croosing with us.

cheers.joe.
