will this turbo work?

hey im new to the forum and I want to turbocharge my 300 will a Airesearch To4 A/R .60 turbo off an international harvester diesel be big enough to do the job. also should i try to make my 1brl carb work or should i make coustom intake and exhaust manifolds for this project and use a 4brl . I go to a vocational school here in maine and Need a fun project and this defenatly apeals to me so any help would be awsome thanks.

ok i guess i was hoping for more help than that. like what size wastegate should i get or do i need a blow off valve. hey great idea ho bout you all post pics of your setups to help me that would be awsome.

We need a little more info on that turbo. Part number?
Is that .60 A/R for the exhaust housing? If so that should be about right for a street truck.
As for the carb, a blow-thru 1bbl has been done but if you have a 300 then just get a 4bbl intake and put a Holley 450-600cfm on it.
Use an electric fuel pump with a boost referenced regulator.
Limit the amount of total timing and you'll be golden.
