Wiring

Ok, I have almost everything I need to do my dizzy swap. I noticed my dizzy is a 3 prong connector piece and my module is a 4 and 2 prong. Did I get the correct one? I got all the parts for a 78 Granada 4.1L I6.


I have black, purple, green, and orange to one connector on the module. Other is red and white.

The dizzy has black w/ white stripe, orange, and purple wires to connector.

Do you have the wiring harness that goes between the distributor, ignition module and the coil? As far as I know the only place to get that harness is from a junkyard.

I was going to wire together all of them and not use a harness.


EDIT: I am trying to find a wiring diagram online to look at, but can't find one.

I've got a complete DII setup at home (laying in my toolbox) and I can trace the wires for you if nobody on here has the info, and you can't find it on the interweb..

I think I found what I need. Has all the wires I have and the same module. Searched the Granada forums and was lucky and found the link.

Napa has the connectors listed on their website. Too much money for me but at least its an option.

I have all the wires connected. On the diagram I found it says take off certain wires. Do I need to take off any wires? It is also shooting gas out the carb. The rotor is pointing straight at drivers seat area when at 0 timing.
