1948 Ford F1 - 226 flathead 6

I have just purchased a 1948 Ford F1 with a 226 flathead 6. I do not see that listed as the choices in this thread. I am hoping to use this boards vast knowledge real soon! still working on learning how to post pics on this board.

Your in the right forum for the older sixes, good luck on your project.

The bad news is high performance parts are hard to find and expensive, but the good news is they are dependable as a rock and it's still pretty easy to get any stock parts you might want.

Also, they have more torque than the flathead V-8's.
