So, after 20 years of guessing at the performance of my cars I finally broke down and bought the beltronics FX2
http://www.beltronics.com/fx.html
Got a good deal on it at etronics.com. What a great tool! It basically measures g-force in any direction, so it calculates accelration (60ft, 100 ft, 0-30, 40, 50, 60, 1/8mi. and 1/4mi), braking, cornering, peak and average hp, etc.
Just got it last night, so I had to throw it in the falcon and get some times. Out of four runs my best 0-60 was 10.75 seconds and my worst was 12.85. Then the brakes overheated and I had to go home. Stock was supposed to be something like 17 seconds? Not bad for a car with a two speed transmission. Now that the weather is warm, maybe I'll get off my butt and install that stupid c-4 that's been sitting in my garage for 9 months.
