15-20min warm up time?

Ok, does any one know if I can set the choke on the factory style carb by pressing the gas peddle all the way to the floor then let go? or is there some other kind of trick?
also, I have the 2bbl to swap on the car and was just thinking, if theres another kind of auto choke beside the little heat tube thing, like an electric one (like my 83 Jeep). I'm not too sure if I want to go manual choke, but if there is no other way I guess I must.

Yes, the choke should set when you push the peddle to the floor if everything is adjusted right. Take the air cleaner off and see what the choke does when you press the pedal. You can adjust the choke by loosening the 3 screws holding that round black thing on the back of the carb (choke spring housing) and turning it one way or the other. It will take some playing with but you should be able to get it to warm up better. I don't personally know of an electric choke for that carb but you could probably find one on some other car and make it work. Maybe you could just take the heating element out of another choke?

What kind of 2 bbl carb. The Weber's have electric or manual chokes available.

You can also adjust the choke of the factory carb by turning a plastic barrel nut on some linkage behind the choke. 15 to 20 min to warm up enough to get the choke off is a bit excessive for this time of year especially if you live in Florida. Any choke you have right now should open very quickly. These chokes may require different seeting for winter vs summer driving.
