I'm just curious if a 250 cid would take the place of a 200 cid in a 1966 ford mustang. 250 cid did not come into play til 1969 for the mustang. I know the 250 was slightly taller but the same in lenght as the I6 family..

It was longer as well. The bell housing options are SBF with the 250 and the bell/flywheels from the 170/200 do not work with the 250. Here's a great article. This swap was done on a '66
