250 headers?

I know that im probably overlooking somthing somewhere. But I have to ask. Ive got a 70 stang with a 250 and I cant find a header that will fit. All that ive found so far are for 177/200 engines. Any suggestions?

I feel your pain. I had to bend one from a 200 single out. I want to try one of these Bronco shorties from Clifford next:

The most common headers are probably the Hooker 6601 dual out - long tube headers for the 200 BUT they won't fit the 250 without modification. The 200 headers hug the 200's bell to clear the steering gear and with the larger V8 sized bell 250and additional deck/head height , they interfere with BH and starter..
Hooker made a set similar to the 6601's - the 6602's for mid 70's MAverick application. These are very hard to come by. Here's a comparison of the two.


The 6602's are on the 250 note the different bend runners from the 6601's for 200

There's a cheap Single Out (offshore?) header from a Mustang vendor looks like it may work. No way to tell if it will fit engine AND fit your car unless you try...

thanks for the suggestions. Its suprising to me that no one makes a direct bolt on header for the 250.
