2V head

I have seen 3 x 250 2V heads with little tubes in the centre exhaust ports, anyone explain this? Is is a boat mod for water cooled exhaust? and can it be undone for car? sound like stupid questions......

Perhaps the tube of which you speak is the one that goes up to the carb choke.
The hot air assists the opening of the choke spring.
The tube goes into a chamber in the manifold that does not allow exhaust gas up.
Until it wears out... :roll:
