Hey, I was wondering of anyone has put 3x2 carb setup on their Ford 200 or any engine similar. I thought it was a cool idea and was mostly curious to see if anyone has or know anyone who has done it. Thank you!

Yes there were have been lots of them with the Webers in both the side draught‘s (DCRA‘s) and down draughts (IDA’s or IDF’s) on the IR type intakes. Site member xstacy i think was working on a 3 x 2 log head setup using conventional 2V carbs also don’t know how that turned out.

I think the current index page has one w/3 2v BBDs in the making. Check it out - tough, as the the 2v is wider simply due to the 2nd v. Some foriegn engines have the weber DCOEs (I C most often) & others bubs mentioned above but the intakes are specally designed to pair engine DCOE. Our ThriftPower models are not so popular as a screamin beemer, porche, etc...
What RU thinkin?
We might havea work around...

I have a 38 DGAS Weber sitting in front of me as I type...
A common enough carb here in the UK

Unfortunately I've just read the optimal method of using it..which involves taking the head off and getting a flat machined on the inlet log. Not what I really wanted to do on a motor that seems to be running fine enough?
The carb would possibly work if the central carb hole were blanked off, and two new holes cut in the log, ideally opposite cylinders 2 & 5...then a horizontal Y shaped manifold made up & bolted on to fit piggyback style? Like those Offenhauser things I've seen advertised. But without the centre carb....??

I really know how to burger-up a perfectly sound running engine, don't I?

"...burger-up a perfectly sound..."
no no no. That's how it wrks. Even if 'done @ home". The main concern - how to keep shavings out of the combustion chamber. There R a few intakes to do this right there in GB.
I recognize ur name, AL, but forget ur rig. A typically low hood '60s stang (the most exported usa 'classic')? So it might help w/that too?

Take the end plugs offa da log, stuff it w/rags? Machine away right there on motor (9 inch or 4.5 inch 'grinder'). Drill in 2 bolt holes, tap them. Pull out rags, vacuum inside, use magnet, blow air, etc. Get studs to match, mount & leave choke on center carb only. Tune...?

'67 Mustang coupe. Nice 6 pot with C4. It came to me with the usual cock-up regarding carb & distributor. Being short of readies, I opted for a 'new' distributor, the cheapest option being a TSP billet distributor [small cap, uses a separate coil], off US eBay. {Not many US eBay dealers ship to the UK] . Spent time messing with advance spring sizes, I think I've got it somewhere sorted. Most of my pennies spent on it go towards mundane stuff like water pump, starters, etc from Rockauto...cheap, but also darned good shipping rates [and speed...they get stuff to me quicker than any UK parts suppliers.] .. I've got other old motors of a more UK style persuasion though...and too much in the way of back & leg aches. So the Muzzie can sometimes take a back seat. It's mostly clean though, and I got it for a good price at the time. Makes a good daily driver though, very useful...

"...daily driver..."
that's were its at. Money in, solid use out (no garage queen).
Glad U have the prts sourcing down. AutoZone (USA co) is international but
as stated, may B quicker with the store on-line. I ran parts for them to get
new 50 y/o prts (now on or stored as I don't wrk there anymore) another place
for U to try. Of these sorts of co I like NAPA best (Elghin, Dorman). Here's ur side o da pond
(more 4 Ces too, the OP). C tech archive/magazine article stickie in this 'sm block' forum.
