66 mustang 3 spd tranny question

I have a 66 stang ,, 200ci motor and original 3 spd tranny,,question is I need to get it into the shop for clutch / tranny issues and was wondering if a 3spd , syncro'd tranny from a 67 would work and a guess as to cost, I live in the phoenix az area
