after replacing head gasket-won't start and water licking.

hi all,yeserday i replaced the head,valve cover,and exhaust manifold gaskets,after putting everything together,it wont start(66,200,all stock)
water licking from the head,before starting the gas pedal felt hard to push,,what went wrong ?any ideas

8) does the engine crank over? if so then you have too much water in the cylinders but not enough for hydrostatic lock. if not you have hydrostatic lock.
