Guys have a weber question. I am curious as to which carb I should use. My engine is stock mostly 68 block and head. I have a petronix 1 and a dual out header with a set of 40 series flowmasters. So as far as mods that is it my question is which weber should i use? The 32/36 or the 38/38? Also mike has the dfv which is clockwise rotation will that one work? I know alot of questions but I am not sure and you guys are the ones to ask lol.

I don't really know much of squat about weber 2 barrels (except IIRC they were used a bit on later generation straight sixes), but I do believe more than a couple folks here have gone with the progressive weber...I imagine in part with a mind to maintaining good mpg when you're foots not in it. I believe stovebolt is a commonly recommended source.
Good luck
EDIT: I always liked progressives like the quadra-junk...when? set up right, but am admittedly wierd :)

i have a similar to this one as well i want to get mikes alum heads, intake man.,and headers, with a mild cam, will a weber cover this or do i need a bigger carb??? for street use not drag

The 32/36 Progressive 2bbl is an excellent drivable carb, not the pure performance choice compared to Synchronous 2Bbl. I have only experience with Holley/Weber 5200 - 32/36 clones. I run a 32/36 clone-2Bbl Hw 5200 from a 2.8 V6 Capri on a mild - street performance 170 six (Hicomp worked head, Headers,5spd) , provides reliable idle, low and mid- range throttle response with the progressive secondary kick in the pants ...
