Can i use a carb. off a manual 200 on my auto?

Just a quick question here, i have a ford 1101 model single barrel carb, off a manual engine with only one diaphram pump on it. It will be going on a 67 falcon, auto, stock carb with 2 diaphrams on it. That carb is an autolite on it now 1100 but its kind of rough. How do you guys think this newer carb will work out for me? Also it is a manual choke. The 1101 model carb is in awesome shape and is clean as hell, im going to tear into the autolite and see if its worth rebuilding. Someone rebuilt it before and reassembled it with drywall screws

Try it and see. I would not think its going to be a big deal. They only seem to dampen that last little bit.

Well, i was reading that the extra accell pump is to keep the vehicle from stalling on fast stops. I did some research and seen that the throttle dashpot on the 2100 carbs is for the same problem, and they only have one accell pump. I was thinking about rigging up a dashpot on this carb, or either a softer spring to keep the throttle from closing fast.

You'll be fine without it.

Just put the nice carb on there and go ahead.

It'll be fine. I've never had a dashpot on mine, and it has never stalled.
