i figure this is a repeat but i need to order some parts asap and i was hopiong someone could help me:

i have a 0.040 over stock rebuilt 200 ci mustang. the car is 66 the engine is a 68. the holley1940 crab has some wierd problems. when you floor the pedal the pump is not being engaged. it may be beacuse the pump spring is not pushing the pump lever back to it's default position. in any case i figure i might as well get a new crab. this one is causing me lots of problems it's very hard to get the car to start every time.

my queston is: for this stock engine will a weber 32/36 or a weber 36/36 or a holley 2300 be the best? I'm leaning towrad getting the weber 36/36 from clifford with the whole conversion kit. is that a good idea? is there a reason to get the 32/36 instead. from whast their web site wrote, it seems like a 36/36 is perfect for a car that might be upgraded further in the future and it won't be an over kill.

any ideas? is the holley 2300 not worth the trouble for a stock car. is it too much carb for this car?

thanks a bunch.

Personally, I wouldn't mess with getting a "conversion" kit from Clifford with an adapter. If you plan on upgrading, the Webers are great, but really need to be mounted directly to the intake (read - no funnel adapter) if you want the best performance. I picked up a rebuilt Holley 1940 for 79.99 w/ exchange at a parts house a few years back. With the money you would save you could almost buy a new Weber (not at Clifford prices) and another head to properly mount the Weber to while still having the car on the road.
