Carbs from Stovebolt

Just a few post down I was asking about what to do with my holley 1946, but now I have decided to just go with a 2bbl. I was hoping to buy the adapter from stovebolt and then get one of those carbs he sales. Either the HOlley/Weber or the Carter/weber. So I have a few questions.

1. Will the adapter fit directly to the intake manifold from a 78 mercury zephyr with the bigger carb whole?
2. Is the holley/weber from stovebolt a good carb and is it the same carb described in the sticky about re jetting the holley/weber 32/36?

Thanks for the help.

I ditched my adapter in favor of Clifford's adapter. Despite the really negative reputation (matched by my experience) and the fact that the adapter cost almost as much as the carb from Stoveboldt, I'm glad I did.

Yes, the Holly Weber 5200 and 32/36 are similar enough that the jetting info. applies.
