Collapsed Lifter ?

Hi all. I went to drive my Mustange finally and after i started it and let it warm up a few minutes there was a loud tapping noise. I check my adjustable rocker arm and everything seemed to be ok. I was wondering if it might be a collapsed lifter or maybe i have the rocker arm adjusted to tight. Usually if they were to tight it seemed like the engine would bog down. The lifters are all brand new. Plus if it is a collapsed lifter would that take alot of power from the engine? I have the tri-carb setup and not getting the power i expected.

that is what happened to me...

I am told its a lifter...and they have to re-remove the head

doesnt it SUCK!!!!
