This may have been posted here before. If so I apologise...

The SDS website has a terrific DIY Turbo Header page that everyone should have saved on their hard drive.

These are simple, sturdy and cheap, and would work great on a Ford I-6. :D

Thanx for posting that. I had read that site awhile back, but had lost the URL.

I think that is also a good basis if you are going to make a custom header for your car.

You're welcome, guys! :D

I had been re-reading Does10s' post about building his own (very nice) DIY header when I remembered reading this page on SDS's website. It struck me that here was an excellent primer on how to do it yourself. Anyone with a hand grinder and an el cheapo MIG welder can make a header for any application using these simple instructions.

To ensure the knowledge isn't "lost", I let the entire page load, then clicked File > Save Page As...

Please telll me you also got the pictures?

Yes, of course, Tim. :D

My browser (Firefox 0.9) captures the entire page and saves it as an html document. I can even click on the ads if I wish...

kinda how I did mine only with a square tube "log" (had it laying around) the flange stock I dug out of a scrap bin so basicly have zero cost in my manifold. may not be a nice high flow tube header but it is compact and cheap

That site makes me wish I knew how to weld and had access to the tools/workspace.

I'd love to come up with a one off exhaust manifold for my car.

Folks,

If you are a good communicator, and persistent, call Headman Headers... They sold me a 300 exhaust flange (1/2" thick mild steel) for $20-30. It was worth every penny! Since it isn't actually listed as something they sell you will have to "work" your way to the right person in the manufacturing facility. I don't have the number, because it is different than the one for the sales office. I was transferred by someone. Good luck!
