Does the Vaporizer carb only bolts onto certain sixes?

Curious to know because I'm confused. I was reading about this carb and it seems that it would only bolt onto sixes from the late 60s. Or am I reading it wrong? Would this carb bolt on without no probs onto my 74 Maverick six(200)?

i don't know,but i drilled and tapped new holes in my 1978 head to use my 60s carb.the cast iron was really easy to drill.

There were different sized carb throats. The later ones were larger, I believe. If you order a Vaporizer, they will need to know all the details of your application: year of the head, AT/stick/, ignition type (std or spark control valve), choke type,etc. Make sure you know the casting year of your head and all that other stuff too, so you can provide it when you order. Although they are all 'nominal' 1100's, all 1100's are not the same.
