:D I found a 1978 Fairmont with a 200, complete, any part needed.!
Is there an easy way to get the accel. cable off of the pedal?, it was kinda dark and I couldn't see it.
Obtained so far; carter carb with electric choke, complete air cleaner with aluminum top, DII diz with coil.
Anyone need anything?

Im kind of new, but I heard that duraspark2 is a good mod to put on my 200. If i just got that, would I need anything else to go along with it or is everything else compadible?

i could use the air cleaner if your giving it away. and maybe the small harness the connects the coil, heat sensor, oil sending unit, it plugs in kinda where the windsheild washer motor is. i also need valve cover bolts and um 2 long and 3 short exhaust manifold bolts. ????? is the instrument clust the came as the falcon mine is a 1967 i cant find one anywhere and they want like a thousand dallors for a custom made one.

I'm going to use the air cleaner, the whole duraspark set up and it has over 89k miles on it with oil all over it, evn had a small puddle in the cleaner, you'd be better off with a new chain and gears. Sorry

there's a little nylon button on the pedal end that just pops out, then the cable slides out of a slot. Then a self threding bolt on the firewall, one at the vavle cover, and unclip the cable from the ball on the carb.

You'll need the cable bracket as well as the pedal. Pay attention to the location of the ball stud on the carb. It's different than the early carb location (higher). also, if you have an auto tranny, look at the downshift linkage. More complex than the early stang in some cars.
