hey guys i have a bit of a crisis...my thermostat housing had a crack, i took it off and it broke right off, and the replacement was for a 302 and the angle was wrong...the hose would hit the blades once i got a hose that actually worked with it. i will most likely use a stock housing which i will buy tomorrow, but first i want to see if i can do an electric fan upgrade.

Is there an electric fan off a specific vehicle that is strong enough to cool my engine? i saw a fan on a turbo 2L and turbos get pretty hot, so I'm thinking i dont need too much, Is there something i can use without too much adapting? the most important part is that i have enough air flow....Please help as i only have tomorrow to do this.

also urgent....I'm gonna be JB welding the topof my carb shut, so this may be my final chance....is there a Nitrophyl float available for the carter YF(A)? or what can i use...i plan on turbo charging and I read that this carb can be used...but what do i do with the float.

Thank u all for any help, this is the most rushed thing i've done so please respond, thankss.

You barely even need a fan this time of year in Beautiful British Columbia so most anything will probably work until summer.

awesome...i was wondering if i should have mentioned the cold weather or not, but looks like youre right on top of things. I'll be going to the wreckers today then to grab an electric fan...thanks a lot.

anyone know what i can do with the float on the carb though? if i cant figgure anything out then i'll leave the float stock and work on a draw thru system then for the turbo.

thanks again for your help Joe.
