Background:
I have a 1966 Mustang that I am eventually going to use as a daily driver but for now it is my "play" car i would like to take the motor out of the car and re-build it slowly... with articles online and my chiltons

What i am looking for is an article about taking the engine out besides "drain all fluids, disconnect electric and lift out" i have an engine lift i just need some instruction on how to disconnect the transmission some things to beware of some pointers ect.

BTW: This is a learning experence for me i have been toying around with moters for a while and want to take it to the next level, i expect to screw up a few times and if i do no biggie....

thanks all for the anticipated help,

P.S. anyone have any sites that list a bolt on turbo or supercharger that would be great

Howdy Wazntme:

The processes of an engine removal are a bit too involved to cover, in detail. on a forum site. I would strongly encourage you to acquire a shop manual for your vehicle. It will have a section on engine removal. A shop manual will cost you about $50.00.

It would also be a good idea for you to buddy up with a "gray-haired" mechanic so when do-do happens you will have a helper resource.

Enjoy the adventure.

Adios, David
