I'm desperate to find someone who knows how I will find out which frost plugs will fit my 66 mustang straight 6. Also where I could buy them.. I've tried everything on the net and haven't found anything... (i'm based in Ireland). thanks.. if anyone can help

Assuming you mean the ones under your exhaust manifold. You just need to measure the diameter and order generic brass ones to suit. Let us know if that will be a problem!

Cheers, Adam.

Yes they are the ones.. Do you have a different name for them over there.. Maybe thats why I couldn't find much about them. Any idea where I could buy them online..
thanks for the reply

We actually call them "Welsh Plugs". Sound more common? Have you tried giving Practical Classics a bell or email?

I always thought they were called freeze plugs until i got out my hanes manual. Maybe try that at the autoparts store. Usually they look at me wierd if they don't know what i'm talking about (happens often) that time he just went to a shelf and got it for me...

What part of Ireland are you from? I'm surprised to hear a Mustang made it all the way to Ireland. I have close relatives in Mayo and have been there many times myself.

I'm in dublin, It did the rounds before I picked it up in Holland and drove it back through (holland)Amsterdam, Rotterdam,(belgium) Antwerp, (France) Lille, Amiens and Cherbourg for the boat to Rosslare in Ireland and then the minute I got off the boat, TYPICAL Ireland, it started to rain....
Though it was the most memorable thing I have ever done. We actually have an Elenor over here also.. which I was more surprised to find out... There is a couple of mustangs, but if I do say so myself and have been told, not half as good as mine... when I get some pics I'll post them.. If you want to see what kind of classic scene there is over here, follow this link... http://www.american-automobile-associat ... ge0002.htm

Actually my mustang is the first mustang in the 2005 Kilbeggan 1 photo section, don't mind the site.. its really bad

Hi all thanks for the replies, I really appreciate it.. I'm confused now as I have these translations, Core plug and soft plug +freeze plug+ Welsh Plugs... HMMMMM.
Also I don't want to buy 50 plugs as I'll only repalce the ones in the car.. So any further suggestions would be great.
thanks again

MAC'S antique auto parts lists freeze or SOFT plugs in either steel or brass.

This is per set.
