Good source for remanned short block?

Does any body know of a good source for a remanned short block 250ci? I'm trying to make my build as simple as possible. There are a few on ebay for around the 400-500 mark, but I have no idea if these are worth anything or not. I'm not looking for huge power, so a stock block should work for me

Thanks in advance
B

I am pretty sure mustangs unlimited sold blocks for all the motors of the era. You'll need to go to their website and request a catalogue for pricing and such. I remeber looking at a 200 just to see how much and I want to say it was about 2k - I could be wrong, don't have my catalogue right here.

They have online catalog as well.

I'd contacted Reman (Xstacy's link) in the past, and for a short block they take off a couple of hundred dollars. Does anyone have any experience with their blocks?

I am just doing my own. quick hone and a ring and bearing kit is all. I think I have $400 in mine right now (ARP rod bolts, comp cam)

Anybody ever done business with the company in Xcstacy's link?? The 5.0 in my F150 made some really ugly noises this afternoon and I think it's probably TOAST!! 208,000 trouble free miles so I can't complain! Oil pressure kinda started dropping off some time ago--eeek!! The prices on that site look pretty reasonable, but I'd feel better about ordering if I had an endorsement.

Thanks,
Mike
