Went to local bone yard and found a Granada with a 250.
The longer I talked with the manager the better the deal seemed to get.
Bottom line is I decided to remove the whole vehicle and strip it down at my place and bring him back the skeleton.
I was originally just going to get the drive train.
Have two Falcons 64 and 65 Futuras to use parts on.
Keeping radiator, engine, transmission, crossmember, drive shaft.
Is any of the front under carriage transplantable?
Rear axle and or brakes? If so what ratio or above to look for.
Any obvious other parts I should keep?
Brake pedals? Accelerator pedal and mechanism?
I will be converting to an Offenhauser 3x1 ultimately.
Any thoughts on this are appreciated.
Thanks.

what year is it?
75-80 is what you look for when doing the front disc swap

not sure if the radiator will fit your vehicles... possible though

if it's an 8" it should work, dunno about the width difference between your car's rear end and that one

the best thing about the deal is you have the parts to do the disc brakes on your falcon. that is one of the best up grades that can be accomplished on a falcon/comet.

forgot, for the disc swap you'll need
spindles and everything outwards to the wheel
master cylinder
tie rods

there's the possibility of bump steer as well

Owner wasn't sure of year.
Actually said he had multiples so now at least I know which year(s) to look for.
I've been mislead by this individual before so I'm just hoping this isn't one of the times.
Not really misled, but the information he retained wasn't exactly what was actually in the yard.
Have gotten some real good deals from him on some of my other projects(Camaros, VWs and El Caminos) so he does try to do me right.
He also specializes in 'older' or vintage vehicles.
Looks like maybe I strip out everytjhing but the headliner heee?
I'd probably have forgotten the master cylinder.
I was even thinking on the way to work, maybe even the wirng harness as the colors would/could match some of the curent needs.
Guess I'll just turn one of the vehicles into a storage bin.
Will maybe get it Derby weekend(May 7).
Depending on amount of paycheck left over from bills.
Thanks for the advice and help.
