Since there are no aftermarket made kits for the 300, you'll pretty much have to fab everything yourself. I've heard that an Eaton M-90 is probably your best bang for the buck if you have to go that way.
I also wouldn't overlook turbocharging, because basically its free horsepower. Fwiw..8)
Is it because you have a header or something? you can still use your old exhaust with some imagination to get it fabbed up to the turbo but it all depends where your gonna put it.
turbo would be cool but i was looking at how i would have to route the intercooller piping and it looks like there would be a bit more lag than i would like due to the length of the piping. plus a lot of bends and would crowd the already crowded passenger side of my truck. that is the only reason i would want a supercharger
pssshhh im up to 10# and no intercooler however my motors a disaster waiting to happen, Kirk has run his up to 15# maybe higher but keeps losing headgaskets, so he turned his down now. Alot of it is persoanl preference, and it kinda sounds like were trying to get you to go turbo but thats what I have done so thats really all I can talk about...
I can only recall two members on here with superchargers and one of them took his off because he broke his motor. Mustangaroo still has his, but it's a Paxton centrifugal type rather than a Roots like the M90/4-71.
Actually one of those would probably be nice on a 300. The centrifugal type don't do much until the upper RPM ranges where the 300 needs help. The 300 has plenty of low-end grunt.
u r right my six had so much grunt in the low end i accidentally dropped the clutch at 2500 rpm and ripped the brand new motor mounts and ate radiator. it was crazy.

i am building my 82 f 100 fifties style so i wanted a little bit more from the six. the nitrous will just be iceing on the cake. its a direct port set up that i am going to hid under the offy manifold where no one can see it.
