how much will porting help?

Right now, I'm porting the exhaust runners on my cyl head, and doing a little bowl porting under where the valve goes. I'v compleated 1 of the runners, and I turned it into a D shape, also fully polished it, is this going to give me good results? like spool the turbo up quicker than unported? I'm also going to do a little bowl porting under the intake valves, and open them up from the valve side as best as I can.

Cyl head is a C6DE head, stock 1967

also decided I'm going to have hardened seats installed, and in the prosess, have the head cut for bigger valves, I'll use the SS set that Mike offers

The log needs all the help it can get on the exhaust side, so polish away.
