We Kiwis have a specialist North Island team who do right hooker conversions for the non rhd import Fords, Chevs and Dodges. Some work is quite involved. The column shifts aren't mirrored, nor are the indicators. Many guestions remain over the partial overlap standards, and the lights have to comply with the local regs.
You you can legally have a left hand drive car, but the Kiwi and Aussies have some real funny ideas about safety of LHD cars on our two way undivided lane roads. Apparently, the LTSA wanted a permit system like Australia.
The local 4.0 and 4.6 Ford Explorer is rhd ex factory, but the F-series pick-ups tend to get converted locally.
Were the lastet Muzzies right hookers, SnailRacing?
I've got to say that the Mustang is a classic, and let the critics moan there butts off over styling ques, the bonnet, and retro styling. I love it! It's tough, blunt, the GT 4.6 has 300 hp from the factory, and has a good old 8.8" diff that you can incinrate tyres with. WHAT THE HECKS THE PROBLEM!!!!!
Oh, there is a 4.0 V6 with the Explorer's Cologne based V6, with well over 200 hp as the base model. They have done lots of cost cutting, as the IRS and quad cam and 5.4 versions are to be drip feed to some of the speciality models. Since there is nothing that gives as much free reving naturally made horsepower for the price in America, the damand will be high.
