Finally!! My new motor is installed and I did the cam break in today. Thought I might have an overheating issue at first but I took it for two test drives through the neighborhood and it never got over 180. I can feel that it has more power but I haven't put the hammer down yet. I want to put a few more miles on it to seat the rings. Plus I need to re-adjust the valves on that new solid lifter cam( classic inlines 278 cam - .475 lift with the 1.6 rockers and 228 duration at .050 lift ). I have the cam advanced 4 degrees and it sounds pretty good.

It's a 350 Holly direct mount, so it is mounted sideways with the bowl facing the passenger fender. Throttle is hooked up with a custom made bracket. If you do a search I think I posted pictures of the carb mounting from when I first set it up.

Gene, i think you will need more carburetor than the 350 with all your mods.
Test your 350 carb, but i think you are a natural canadate for a 500 carb. Falcon Man

You're probably right, but I went with the 350 Holley for now since I didn't have to change my fuel lines or linkage. I do have a 500 Holley sitting in a box at home and at some point I will try it out.

Thats an excellent time! My slightly modified 95 mustang gt only ran a 15.7.
