Its been a long time since a posted anything so i thought i better check in.

The XR is still parked were i left it ,untouched in over 12-18 months.
The motor gets turned over by hand weekly .
The motor hasnt been started since i put in the wagon . Ive since put on the Edelbrock 500 and the new pacemakers .

Hopefully get it going soon , its so close i just have to put in the battery ,ignition wire and bolt on the exhaust .

How long can ya leave a fully reconditioned engine stand without starting it?.

Finding time is the hardest bit, as im out on the road with the new job .
Fiinally got away from carparts and into Husqvarna chainsaws.

Cheers
Dave

Yes, I saw the rain on TV this morning. Looks like the relos missed it (Palmerston North) - a few years back the flooding nearly wrote their house off; received new floorboards and the bottom 2 feet of all internal gyprock...

Hard to say with your motor and what internal shape it's in. Maybe the sprat can help you pull the head off just to double-check bores for rust and make sure nothing's living in the carb or intake.

Do Husqvarna have an environmental policy? :P
