Junkyard finds

I went out to the junkyard and found a whole bunch of stuff...I'm gonna go pick most of it up next week hopefully and I'm going to try to get a motor and trans (if I can find the room!)

Here is some of the stuff I found: (everything had a 6 in it)
78 Granada
late 70s-early 80s mustang
70 Torino (or something similar)
few more Granada's (not sure of year)

Almost all of them had the whole duraspark setup. (One didn't and one was busted up). None had carbs :( But I did manage to score me some of those factory lifting brackets (that we were talking a while back about).

In the 78 Granada, I found that the alternator bracket was on the right side of the engine, instead of the left. I didn't get the bracket yet, but I wondered if anyone else has used/done that?

Also found a lot of cable throttle linkages, and lots of "Powered by Ford" valve covers, if anyone wants one...

If that 70 Torino has a 250 I6, grab the motor mounts. I've been researching, and from what I can tell so far that if you have the frame brackets, insulators and upper brackets that you can then install a 250 into a '66-'70.5 Falcon. (The 200 was the only I6 offered from the factory.) And no one makes replacement insulators.

8) if that torino has the 250, i second grabbing the engine mounts and the chassis mounts, i will buy them from you. let me know.

Take the over the valve cover cable mounting bracket. Get the cable and floating pedal assembly along with it. Grab the brass brake line block along with the coiled lines, proportioning valve, and the master cylinder to be used as a core. Ah, what the hell! Cannabalize everything in the engine bay and take the engine and tranny and give them a new home.

Hi do you still have any of the powered by ford valve covers and could you ship them to florida? i could collect it next month then instead of shipping to the UK

any of those grandias have the center consol? there worth some big bucks to the maverick crowd. some of them also have 9'' disc rears that bolt in too i think, or trac-loc '8's

I was at my local wreckers (good customers of mine!) a couple of months back, scrounging 'freebies' from the 'soon to be crushed' pile... I got fuel injectors, pressure regulators, fuses, relays, instrument clusters... all sorts of goodies! Most of the parts were off 'non - Fords' but who cares- many of these parts are useable on anything! I wonder how many wreckers around will let you scrounge for free and save good parts from the scrap yard...
