The car now runs a lot smoother. Still needs more tuning as the carb still has a flat spot or two. I hope to figure it out but will post for help if I can not resolve the issue. So with out further ado here are the pics.
Goes way too fast .The engine was painted while in the car. I painted the passenger side when I put the header on and painted the driver side when I replaced the dizzy. I call it the poor mans engine rebuild.
Now....you need to crawl under and get the bottom Nice job BTW. Did you tape it off or free hand it? In your pictures it looks pretty darned good so I'm guessing you taped everything off?
If I could give you a tip (been doing the six thing since 96), save up for the big ones first, head, block job (sounds like porn) ect. You will always want more. That carb is going to be nice for "oh so long" then you'll be thinking "direct mount".
Yes everything left on was taped and news papered. I've been looking for a engine to rebuild, but still debating on 200 or 250. When I finally find one I would like to direct mount 2 webers. I'm thinking about the CI head but I would love to try the 2 webers. Someone on this site has that setup and it looks great. With this first upgrade money I wanted power with out taking off the head due to down time and potential problems involved.
