Mustang Keeps Stalling Near idle

I was drivin the old 6 cyl tonight and its a 4spd, so i come to a stop let the clutch in foot off the throttle and bring it to an idle, start to ease into the throttle and it stalls, it did this 3 times. I also noticed this when it seemed to be running good, I would let it idle and then snap the throttle, and then it would seem to quit, but then come back and rev up. Any help would be appreciated. Howdy Carson:

How long since your last carb rebuild? It sounds like a classic symptom of a weak accelerator pump plunger. If you pump it a few times it seems to catch up, but if you don't it acts like a big bog on acceleration. Rebuilding these carbs is very simple to rebuild and it is very worth while.

I actually just fixed it tonight, I richend it up a little at idle and it seemed to do the trick, but it still stumbles a little, So like you said the accel pump is most likely the culprit. Thanks for your help
