Want more power out of my 6 but dont really want to strip it down or take it off the road. Any ideas??
 
Illegally, just add a set of headers and a nitrous oxide system with fuel enrichement. Thats 295 to 325 hp net at the flywheel, enough for 13 second standing starts.

There is nothing else that will hit as hard for the price.

Superchargers are bolt on.CAPA's inventory of chargers are the ultimate bolt on, but they don't give you globs of low end grunt. If you don't have 6k to spend, 800 bucks on nitrous is the only answer.

Warning, though. Some states whollop ya with a defect or canary if they see it hooked up on the street.

Stock EF's have about 200 to 220 hp. A 9 psi CAPA boost is 320 to 350 hp. And its able to be sold off for 50% of its cost when you come to sell it. Considerniong the depreciation curve of a modern car is so huge, loosing 3 to4 grand on and eight grand supercharger coversion isn't so bad.

If you get a Kyver 2800 rpm stall converter, you will spend 8 grand and have a 13 second street pounder you'll just love. Without the converter, your car will never see the extra grunt the supercharger has.

If your ride is manual, then hopefully the T5 will hack it.

Well it looks like its got some mods already

Extractors and big bore pipe is a good thing
So is the SS induction system (good for a 7kw gain)

This should be good for around 170-180kw

The next step would be to fit an Exedy or Unichip piggy back computer
and a crow cam kit and then maybe an EL XR6 head this will increase compression and enhance exhaust flow due to the increase in valve diameter (39mm to 41mm)

You could also play around with timming and plugs, (Check the XR6 info about this)

and then do what Xtaxi suggested and fit a N2O system

If its an auto you can get a device that tricks the signal going to the S5 solinoid this will give very firm and direct sifts
 
I have got a Uni chip comp on order gettin it fitted and dyno tunned soon.
Didnt realise there was such a big difference between the heads will look at gettin a xr head but the engin has 210 on it now so dont think it would handle NOS but u never no. Thanks lots to think about.
