Well, I've had a Holley/Weber 5200 and a set of headers laying around the house for a few months (busy with college). Something went wrong with the charging system so I took it to a local mechanic and figured I'd have him in install the carb headers at the same time. At first he didn't think the carb would work well. When I went and picked it up, he told me how surpised he was at the differece. The sound aslo surpised the muffler shop (duel exhaust). :D It surpised me how smooth she's running and I thought it sounded good before. lol
My goal as I said before was to improve my gas milage along with a little power increase. Well, I'm in the process of checking the gas milage, so I'm not sure about that one. I do notice a little extra power and the response feels a lot better.
So I guess my next project will be the t5 conversion.
I want to thank you guys for the information I've found on here. I never would have been able to find these parts sources by myself.

Hey, that sounds good. Congratulations. Nothing feels better than an upgrade that looks good AND feels good.

so u want to improve gas mileage do you???hehe, its doable as long as you dont mind a bit af maintenance.....there are a few things u can build to improve gas mileage and get a cleaner engine (and if u guys really dont beleive i get better mileage then whatever......but anyways it all depends how they're built.....it does work and easily built and dont effect performance negatively  ....) if your interested in the projects just send me a private message and i'll give all the info u need....

I'm really glad the mods worked out for you :D nothing better than a good engine that runs even better with a few mods...

my goal for the future is to laugh at the people who buy new expensive cars that suck while i drive around in a big car with a big engine (or highly modified six) and still get around the same gas mileage (it could be possible...just need to do a bit of experamenting...but 40mpg ist too far fetched at all)

I am doing the same thing you are doing. I have the headers and dual exhaust installed and I have the carb laying around waiting to be installed. I would like to do a T5 conversion soon. The only problem is...I don't have the money. I don't have a job right now and I only have $3.00. Yes, just $3.00...Last August, I had close to $1000 saved up from my previous job. I spent most of it on the exhaust system. I met a girl and we have been dating for 3 months. Well, 3 monthst of dinners and Valentines Day and a birthday drained me. Last night we went out to dinner and when I got home, I realized that I had no money left. :( I MUST find a job soon.

On one hand you got the girl...sex,someone to keep you warm at night, someone who's hopefully gonna be there for you and on the other you got the Ford...having her is better than sex,the heater and the sound of that engine roaring keeps you warm, and you KNOW good an well she'll be there for ya.....so yeah I'm thinkin I'd stay with the car :D
