New Problem...Noise

Alright, had everything going good and then I hear this noise. The noise came from the lower part of the engine and would increase w/ rpms. It started on the highway. I then got off the hw and parked and checked it out. Headed home and it was gone. Stopped at a light and the oil light came on. Now all the oil readings were fine and temp was good. I thought maybe the dipstick was hitting the crankshaft but it isn't. So can anyone help? Thanks, David

BTW 83BB200 w/ 2v if that matters any

did the noise go away with lower rpm?

if it did sounds like you spun a main.

It didn't go away with lower rpms. It just went away when I got back driving again.
