Hey all,
When I was a young man (many years ago) I did a couple of engine rebuilds on 292 Fords that came out of, and wen inot my 54 pickup... that was in my Dad's garage and with his tools... Dad is still with us, but the garage and tools are long gone...
Now I'm a handy guy and a fair mechanic whose just inherited his (Dad's) 67 convertible thats been stored for the last 15 years...
I know the drive train has to be gone thru as well as a refreash on the enterior and top... and I'm going to attempt a mid-mild (not extreme wild) motor build...
I've got the "The Ford Falcon SIX Cylinder PERFORMANCE HANDBOOK" ...which is great, but very general addressing many aspects of a build ~ great stuff, I've relearned alot...
I've looked at, and bookmarked, quite a few parts sites (like CI), and know I can get help for specific questions...
My question to you guys is this... are there any specific or targeted "how to" books that will walk me through a build... I enjoy learning about head milling and quench and the like, but for this first build, I want to do it right, do it clean, and know I'm going to get the results I plan on...
Then, I'll buy a second motor to play with... i just don't want to screw the first one up... :thanks:
Scott
