Original radiator fan options with AC

I am adding AC to a 1964 mustang with a 170 6 cylinder.

I want to use the period correct metal fan that would have been used on this car. I wand a used one with the FoMoCo stamp on it.

I think it is a 15" fan with 5 or 6 blades.

What would an original ac fan look like?

Were there multiple options on fans or just one correct one?

is there a part number i should look for?

Ware can I find one?

I might have an extra one sitting around at home. I can check tonight. This would have come off of a '70 or '71 250. I really don't have any use for it so I'd part with it for the cost of shipping. If I can find it, I'll snap a picture of it and look for any part numbers and make a measurement as to the fan diameter.

I've got a 4-blade that seems ti be 17-18" or so. Let me knownif this is what you're looking for. ...

On my 200 I have a 4 blade 15". So there are at least 2 parts.

I already have a 4 blade fan and it is too small. I am looking for a 5 or 6 blade fan. designed for extra cooling and ac.

If you could read the stamped markings on the blades i should be able to figure out if you have what I need. thanks.

I have NOT tried these but will in a few months. Will not B concourse correct I'd assume (& it seems U want 'original').
Part # 44-37447-4.

Good Luck ~

:hmmm: My memories of those the early Mustangs (1964 1/2 - 1965- 1966) and many other Ford Models like Falcons / Comets (built before 1967) the only option buyers had back then were the dealer installed AC systems, an under dash unit (Ford spec / designed the Kit and related parts). Otherwise people also went with one of the aftermarket AC kits that were offered back then, also under dash units. A while back I posted some pictures of an original 1965 200 engine with a dealer installed AC compressor and heavy duty cooling (6 Blade) fan package, I would think this same Fan was also used with the 170's too, so it may give you an idea of what fan to look for sorry I don't have a part number though. Ford Fans are also often interchangeable and used on many other engine sizes including the SBF V8's 260's or 289's. The link to the post is below. Good luck in your hunt
