Pertronic or DS II ?

I see some people are using pertronic and then saying that they want to change to DHI. Is that an improvement ? And if so how much ? I have pertronics now and am happy with it but I would lood for a DS II it it would be better. Thanks
 
my understanding is generally pertronix is used in the older SCV environment, and as such has no mechanical advance and is less desirable than the DS2.I suppose its possible to augment a 68 or later points carb that has mech advance, but no installs stand out. I've also heard of the sensor/magnet/whatever coming loose, but I don't know if that's user error, random issues, or product feature. The squeaky wheel and all that.
 
I have a 71 Maverick and I'm sure it has a mech advance. Invectivus is there a place where I could see some pics of your car, header and exhaust, engine ?
 
One of my first upgrades was a Petronix system, daily drove with that sucker for a solid 3 years, no issues at all.

On the other hand, I can see how people would think that a system designed from the factory by Ford would be more reliable.
