Hey everyone,
I've been reading up in here for awhile now for tips on keeping my cars running and thought I'd finally join in. I'm still pretty much a beginner on cars but I've learned A LOT just keeping my cars up and running.
Anyway, a lot of people on here switch to the pertronix ignitor when they do a points conversion or a DSII upgrade but has anybody tried something different like the crane xr700? If so, what do you think about it?
Personally, I'm running both. I have the xr700 on my '66 and it's been running great for the past 6 years. I've only had one problem with it and that was loose wiring. And on my '67 I have the pertronix on it.
My preference... the xr700... but only because my '66 has more power and just seems more fun to drive!
