Radiator questions

So I am planning to run the ford contour duel electric fans on my 69 mustang but not sure the radiator I should use.
I will be using an aluminum radiator, but should I use the 24" 2 or 3 row?
Is there a special set of radiator hoses I will need?

Thanks

I always get the thickest core I can, sometimes AL radiators have wide tubes, sometimes not, so number of rows is not a good way to choose them, but core thickness is...

OK I will look at that when picking one.
The 24" radiator will help cooling over stock, but I'm worried about the water pump pully hitting the fans more than anything. The fan I had on the engine May of had 3/4 - 1" between the fan and radiator. I'm just trying to improve the cooling and get the clearance right.

Hi, make sure your inlet and outlet are on the correct sides, V8 and six are different. It also seems some inlets/outlets 1 1/4 " and some are 1 1/2". I would try to replace the radiator with the same size or else it could be a major hassle to find the hoses. Also get automatic trans radiator if you have an automatic. You should be able to guesstimate how much room there will be between the water pump and the radiator. How much room is there now, and how thick is the new fan? I would hope for at least 1 inch extra. I see an aluminum radiator on a Mustang website that is 2 inch thick. If there is no A/C you could put the fan in front. Good luck

The radiator I found has the same hose positioning as other 250/302/351w radiators I have seen. However the inlet and outlet are 1 1/2 and 1 3/4. I need to see what the diameter of the old radiator fittings are before I commit to it.
I am going to run a t5 trans. No need for the trans cooler.
The contour fans are just a hair over 24" at the shroud and 3.3" thick, however, there is a low point between the two fans where the water pump pully is located. That will give ample room for clearance.
I just have to find the proper radiator and wire the dual fans into my American auto wire kit.
If any of you guys know of a better way to mount the radiator verses sourcing the old mustang mounts and insulators please chime in.

Thanks
