Im a bit of a novice when it comes to cars, but I've decided to tackle a bigger project. My 65 mustang 200-6cyl has been running rough. I started with the easy stuff (plugs, cap, wire etc..) at this helped but didn't solve the problem. The carb on the car is old and from what I've been told has been rebuilt. So over the weekend I purchased a holley carb. After comparing the two carb's they look identical but the new carb appears to be missing a linkage piece. (see the pics blue circle) Common sense tells me that I need this piece...is the new one missing it? Do I use the old one? Should I buy a new one if so what is it called? Like I said I'm new at this stuff, but thats why I bought the car, to learn. Oh yeah one more thing, do I need a new distributor with the carb?
