Shorting the colector??

HI ALL
Well that header I had was to long and were going to have to shorten the colector to be able to conect it to the pipeing ... Is that going to effect it much?? I'm thing 6" + I'm realy just wanting a little more power, the wow effect (header), & econo advantages.... Not a performance rig..

Call me stupid, but can't you just shorten the piping to match up to the collector?

If you mean the exhaust pipe that wasn't the prob. it was the header was to long and if I put just the collector cone on it would be 1" from the ground. I just picked it up and they did a good job I'll try to get a pic of befor and after.. He actualy made them longer he cut them and added a curved piece then the Y pipe to my single exhaust..

I think he's talking about the header piping.
