Yeah, I took out the smog set up on my '66 last summer. I just removed the pump and a bunch of hoses and vacuum wires. Then sealed all the bolt holes in the block with the original blocks with some lock-tite applied to the threads. It was an afternoon project and I didn't really know what I was doing at the time; I just wanted all that crap out of there. I didn't really notice much of a difference in performance but the engine looks a heck of a lot better!
