Actually, nominal 1.5" schedule 10 pipe comes out to 1.68' ID...so its actually a little bit larger than 1 5/8"...but 1 5/8" is what i originally aimed for as my old headers i had installed were 1 5/8" ID...nominal pipe sizing...sheesh...
Schedule 10 is a great thickness....gives for something to weld together especially with a turbo hanging off the end of one side. Ill have to see about a support bracket when im done welding it together and test it for strength...its nice to know your header wont crack on you.
ill post more pics when i get cyl. 3 and 4 in and welded up....hopefully these pics arent too big...
