Dude here...still having problems, in fact, more problems are popping up then I have time or money to take care of. (1968 200ci/HW 2bbl 32/36 series)
I have a dual advance distributor:
The green vacuum hose leads to the distributor vacuum control. There are three prongs on it, as you can see, its attached to the closest one. That is the way the mechanic set it up for me. He could not get rid of the stumbling. It occurs more at higher RPM's now. Nothing is hooked to the carb except the PCV hose. There is nothing connected to the vacuum tube, in the back of the carb, above the air mixture screw. Is there anything that is obviously wrong with this setup? I've been told before, that I can completely bypass the DVC. If the car was running, I'd like to see what would happen if I hooked that hose up to the vacuum tube on the carburetor. The mechanic also said that my plug wires aren't the best for the setup. I have 7mm Bosch plug wires that say "Ultra Premium Opti Layer Mag Core" on them. I have a 40,00 volt Flamethrower coil and Pertronix electronic ignition.
