There has to be a better way (torquing exhaust manifold)

I just replaced another exhaust manifold gasket. My own fault, I forgot to install the bolt at the rear just above the starter.

This time I decided to do things the right way. Went to CJ Pony Parts to get a new set of exhaust manifold bolts and I've been working at putting them on.

The annyoing bolt is the one right above the starter. My solution was to remove the starter which gave me plent of access but there has to be an easier way.

Any suggestions?

No easy way I know of to get at that bolt - it's either a short wrench or remove the starter.

i've seen problems with keeping them tight. the gasket style has a lot to do with that. getting them tight? I like the ratchet wrench.

Yup, if I remember at oil changes I hit them with a wrench again. It seems to take about 4-5 tightenings and many heat cycles before they settle down and stay put.
