im going to do some minor up-grades to my log head this summer. bigger intake and exhaust valves port polish, and 2bbl weber carb and pertronix ignition system. i'll put a cam in it later on. does anyone have any tips on how to get the most out of my log head.

probably a lot of porting: you should pull the drain plugs and open up the log more. you can see how small the ID of the intake is.

8) for a street engine that is a waste, and you may end up losing power. a 1.75in/1.50ex is a better combination and you dont run into valve shrouding with this combo.

These are 1.75 and 1.5 valves.
You can see where the machinist just touched up the wall around the valve for just a hair's worth of unshrouding.

ive got some info on how to do my own port polish, the guy at the machine shop i went to says he dosnt have the machine to do a port polish. the info i got is from the "cobra six" guy. he used a dremel and some polishing stones both of wich i have. my dad has a drill press but i highly doubt that trying to use that will have a good outcome.

it would take a long time to do it wth a dremel though, but ive got the time
