Timing light

I finally got my ds 2 installed on my 170 motor. I hooked it up to a msd coil and msd 6a module. I can't believe how much spark this thing is putting out!
Anyway, I hooked up my timing light and it blew the bulb in my light. Do I need a special timing light for the multi spark system or would any regular light work?

Yes, MSD sells a timing light for their products. They state that a regular dial-back light may cause problems.
Yes the MSD is the only way to go. It puts 400 volts into the primary & will fire 3 sparks up to 3K rpms.

I will look for a multi spark compatible light.
Thanks for distributor Bill. What a awesome upgrade. Once I get the timing set I'll start dieling my carb in.
