Hi
I'm trying to decide which way to go. I have a '66 mustang 200 with headers, and a few other little mods, and want to change my intake system. I do plan to change the cam during the process also.
I have been following along with FSPP's al. head and manifold which seems to be a pretty sweet deal.
I am also interested in the tri-carb look (the 3 side-draft two-barrels on the FSPP head was awesome), like the Offy adapter (from Summit racing), etc.
Does anyone know what the HP/performance benefits of the Offy tri-carb manifold is? How does is compare to the HP/performance of the FSPP head? Is the FSPP head flow tuned better than a stock head?
Price is also a factor, as 3 carbs OFFY-style would be under $1000, FSPP would obviously be more.
And does the loss in weight from the FSPP head add considerably? What is the difference in weight to a OEM log head?
I would appreciate any replies!
Thanks!

Have you priced what it costs nowadays to get a I6 head ported, polished, stainless valves, and all the machine work? Unless you can do all the work yourself your probably looking at a good $700-$900 easy.

The FSPP/CI's head is going to be a very good deal.

On top of which the FSPP head will still outflow out of hte box what the log head will flow after porting and polishing.

I bought Mustang Geezers old ported and polished C6 head because I dont know if I can afford the one head, let alone two foir my two I6 Stangs.

Taking into consideration that I have just got my Offenhauser 3 x 1 running, and though not fine tuned yet, I love the way it looks and sounds, if I had to do it over and money was no object, I think I would go with the mulit carb set up on Mikes new head with a little more aggressive cam. I've always liked the Tri-power look whether or not it is down draft of side draft I think mainly because it's more old school look. By the time all is said and done from the purchase of the Offy adapter, stainless steel line for making the fuel lines, five or six carbs to get three that funtion within reason, rebuild kits, mill work and the extended cam package I am going to be out 14-16 hundred.

So what is the performance increase like? Is it a noticeable difference? Any idea of what the HP increase is like?

Since you put money as the first item on the list, the offy setup will be the cheapest, right?
Are you factoring in the price of rebuilding your head, or will it be stock?
I would think the that with AZ setups, after buying carbs and stuff, you'll be up to $2000 or more. But it will be cutting edge design with manifolds.
Power costs money  but plenty bang for the buck!
